Born n’ raised in Glasgow, I found my language through my father’s recorded-off-the-telly VHS collection.
In 2012 I got my start with an IRN BRU commercial, climbing the ladder (figuratively and literally) to better bring life to our film sets through lighting. Supporting a diverse range of DOPs over the years led me to experiment as one myself, with an ambition to work in long-form.
I’ve been lucky enough to shoot films that screened in competition at Miami Independent, Fargo Fantastic, Romford and Glasgow Short Film Festivals. Inspired by the likes of Adam Arkapaw and Bradford Young, I’m drawn to dark stories with unique vision. Aspiring to deliver shots and scenes which elicit strong emotional responses.
